How the features on MealSummit use your information.

Your account

Google sign-in provides an account identifier, your name, email address, and profile picture. MealSummit stores these to recognize your account and associate your submissions and ratings with it. A session cookie keeps you signed in. Your email address is not displayed on public recipe pages.

What you share

Recipe submissions include the text, photo, and credit you provide. Reviewers can access your submission. Published community recipes display the contributing cook’s name and link to their public profile. Keep personal information you do not want published out of recipe text, photographs, and your profile.

Information stored in your browser

Saved recipes and your best game streak are stored in this browser. They do not sync to another device. Submission text drafts are stored for the current tab and are removed after a successful submission. Photos and permission confirmation are not stored in text drafts. Clearing site data removes browser-stored information.

Services used by the site

Cloudflare hosts the site and its recipe data and images, and processes requests to deliver and operate the service. Google provides sign-in. Fonts are served by MealSummit. Video posters may load from YouTube; pressing Play loads YouTube’s player. Following social links takes you to those services, which have their own privacy practices.
