Terms of use

The ground rules for using MealSummit. Last updated 5 October 2026.

Using the site

MealSummit is a free recipe site. You can read recipes, save them, use cooking mode and play the games without an account. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Your account

Signing in with Google lets you rate recipes, send corrections and keep saves with your account. You are responsible for activity on your account. Choose a display name and profile that are not offensive and do not impersonate someone else. We may suspend or remove accounts that misuse the site.

Recipes and photos you submit

You keep ownership of what you submit. When you send a recipe, you confirm that the write-up and photo are yours or that you have permission to share them, and you give MealSummit permission to publish, edit for clarity and format, and display them with your display name on the site and in MealSummit posts on social media. We review every submission and may decline, edit or remove it. Do not submit content that is unlawful, hateful, or copied from someone else without permission. We publish recipes without pork or alcohol; before you send a recipe, an automated check points out anything that does not fit, and an editor makes every final decision.

AI-assisted recipe details

We may use AI to estimate nutrition and cooking times and to suggest tags, cuisines and descriptive text. An editor reviews these suggestions before publication. AI-generated details can be inaccurate; nutrition values are estimates, not laboratory measurements. You can report an error through our contact page.

Removing a published recipe

MealSummit may edit, unpublish or remove a recipe or photo after publication, including for safety concerns, copyright or ownership complaints, inaccurate or misleading information, spam, abuse, violations of these terms, or editorial changes. Publication does not guarantee permanent availability. We may remove content immediately when needed. You can ask for removal or request a review of a removal decision through our contact page.

A recipe declined before publication gets its credit back under the submission policy below. Once a recipe has been published, later removal or unpublishing does not qualify for a refund, including removal requested by its author. Removal also does not restore a used free submission or paid credit. This does not limit any refund or other rights required by applicable law.

Ratings, corrections and cooking notes

Keep feedback honest and about the recipe. Editors may publish, edit or remove cooking notes, and may decline corrections. Do not post personal information, advertising or abuse.

Cooking safely

Recipes, timings, nutrition details and ingredient notes are provided for general information. Check ingredient labels for allergens, cook food to safe temperatures, and use your own judgement in the kitchen. MealSummit is not responsible for results, injuries or reactions from preparing or eating a recipe.

MealSummit content

The site’s design, logo, recipes written by MealSummit, photos and videos belong to MealSummit or the people who made them. You are welcome to cook from them and share links. Do not copy whole recipes, photos or videos to republish elsewhere without permission.

Other services

Sign-in is provided by Google, and recipe videos play through the MealSummit player. Links to Instagram, Facebook and other sites take you to services with their own terms. MealSummit is not responsible for them.

Recipe submission credits

Each account receives one free recipe submission at a time. It is reserved while the recipe is in review and used when the recipe is approved. If we decline that recipe, your free submission is restored so you can try again. Deleting an approved recipe does not restore the free submission. Additional submissions require a purchased credit when paid submissions are available.

Credits are sold singly or in packs. Each credit covers one recipe submitted for editorial review. A purchase is a one-time payment, not a subscription, and does not guarantee publication, promotion or a particular review time. Prices are shown in US dollars before checkout. Any launch offer has the fixed deadline shown with the prices; purchased credits do not expire, including when that offer ends. An account can hold up to 20 credits.

If we decline a recipe before publishing it, or it expires without review, the credit it used goes back to your balance so you can send another recipe. No money changes hands. Credits bought before credit packs were introduced on 5 October 2026 keep the original policy: a declined recipe paid with one is refunded in full to the original payment method.

Unused paid credits can be refunded on request within 30 days of purchase through the contact page. A whole unused purchase is refunded in full. If some credits from a pack were used, the unused ones are refunded at their share of the pack price. No processing fee is deducted. Credits cannot be exchanged for cash in any other way. This does not limit any rights you have under applicable law.

Availability and changes

The site is provided as it is, without warranties. Features may change or be unavailable at times. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site means you accept the update.

Privacy and questions

How we handle your information is described in our privacy information. For questions about these terms, contact MealSummit.
